Here at Grotto headquarters, I was painstakingly putting together an excellent post on Reagan's "Mr. Gorbachev, tear down this wall!" speech, Tiananmen Square, and the Victims of Communism Memorial (the bronze statue which is a replica of what the Chinese dissidents set up in Tiananmen before being brutally snuffed out by those tanks), but either my computer or my blog provider admitted a poltergeist into the process, and each time I'd finish the post and hit "Save," the whole post would vanish! After several tries, I took a page out of Vito Corleone's playbook and told myself that either the post or my own brains would soon be on my computer monitor. Well, I surrender, and neither item is on my computer, which is now itself in very real danger of waking up on the muddy floor of Manchester Harbor tomorrow morning.
