This past weekend my college buddy Alex Golden hosted a handful of us for duck hunting at his camp in the boonies of Arkansas, about halfway between Little Rock and Memphis. A great time was had by all, despite the fact that the duck population seemed to take its business elsewhere. If I were more savvy with the ol' computer, I might have tried to PhotoShop some ducks into the following pics.
The highlights of the weekend were food-related. The first night Will Allison and Alex stuffed duck breasts with cream cheese and tangy green peppers, wrapped them in bacon, and grilled them. Yummy. The next night Al laid out a two foot slab of ribeye, cut us all three inch steaks, and grilled them. Wow. John Seitz, Sean McDermott and I, representing the "Yankees" of the bunch, rounded out the "cheering section" around the grill.
